Built by people who ran the mine
and defended the numbers.

D&T Analytics was founded by an operator and a finance lead from inside major copper and gold operations. MineStation™ is the tool we wished we had.

Our team

D&T Analytics was built inside working mines, not around them. One founder ran the mine; the other ran its numbers. We watched the same plan get re-entered into scheduling tools, cost spreadsheets, budget templates and financial models, each by a different hand, each drifting from the others. MineStation™ was built to end that: one source of truth, the mine plan, flowing straight through the cost model, the capital program and the financial statements, so the plan, the costs and the economics are produced once, together, and always agree.

Sean Dargan

Founder · Finance and financial modelling

8+ years in the accounting and finance of large-scale open-pit copper mining, where mills, heap leach pads and SX/EW plants turn hundreds of thousands of tonnes a day into metal. From mine accounting at the largest copper mine in North America to lead financial and operational analyst: owning the mine's budgets and forecasts, overseeing its asset base, producing the figures behind SEC filings and regulatory reports, and working alongside the engineering groups to turn mine plans into numbers used to make real-world business decisions.

Most of those years were spent building life-of-mine financial models by hand: truck and shovel fleets, mill and leach throughput, stockpiles, capital programs, depreciation and taxes, reconciled against what the mine actually did. That is where MineStation's standard comes from: one integrated model, every figure traceable from the mine plan through the cash flow to the reporting, no stone left unturned.

Co-founder / Technical Advisor · Mining operations and planning

35+ years in mining across the full range of mining methods: deep underground gold mines, among the largest and highest-grade in North America, and large open-pit gold and copper mines with heap leach and milling operations. Leadership at the superintendent level of a large open-pit copper operation, with a career that runs from day-to-day operations through strategic planning and reserve reporting.

That experience spans every technical function a mine has: production geology and ore control, reserve modelling, drill and blast design, short, medium and long-range planning, life-of-mine scheduling and budgets, and operations supervision. It is the experience MineStation's engines are built on: a plan has to be mineable before it is bankable, and a cost has to reflect how the operation actually runs.

Why that matters

We have sat on both sides of the table

The planner who built the schedule and the analyst who had to explain the budget variance were, between the two of us, the same people. MineStation closes the gap between those two desks.

We have defended these numbers

To auditors, to reviewers, to a board. That is why the exported model shows its work as live formulas, and why the check suite flags what does not reconcile before anyone else sees it.

We know what a mine actually does

Stockpiles that strand, fleets that age, pushbacks that shift. The engines are built around how operations behave, not around a textbook.
